With time, our vision about our leaders has changed. No longer are messiahs, Kings nominated by God, or lords with all the completed requirements.
Now, in democratic countries, the leaders are people equal to us, exactly normal people, who have abilities to take care of the others.
In my point of view, the principal skill of one leader is the ability to inspire the people by his example and his behavior to do the correct thing.
If you can do the hard work for the others, if you have an honest interest to improve the collective situation, you have the necessary skills to become a leader. Take the initiative, do the first step, and behind you, the others will follow!
